Please help with a solution to this scenario.
Application using MQ client CCDT(v9.0-Linux) to connect to QMGR in zOS.
Permissions are provided for ID:MQAD in mainframe.
1.When logged in as MQAD in mq client machine and tested via MQ sample programs it works fine.
2.Application logged in as different ID:APP using mq client then access blocked, obviously.
Is there any attribute I can set in client connection in CCDT file so that when application uses the mq client then connection goes are MQAD to mainframe?
Else only solution is to set MCAUSER as APP in mainframe.
Idea is to standardize a mq client ID in mainframe instead of different one for each app.
If you know the users that will log in, and the userids that would be flowed up to Mainframe, you could use CHLAUTH on your Mainframe queue manager to map those users to the MQAD user (plus other CHLAUTH rules to restrict allowed IPs etc.). _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys.
