I noticed quite a lot of APARs and fixes for dmpmqcfg, but nothing about this, what I'm going to describe. When I use the one installed with 7.5.0.5 mqm.base.runtime fileset on AIX, to dump definitions from the local qmgr that is on the same version, it dumps authorization records without having to specify anything special in terms of switches used, I simply give it -o1line. However that doesn't work with 9.0.1.0 or 8.0.0.4 Windows version when trying to dump definitions from the same AIX qmgr. Whatever combination of switches I try (-x, -t, -o), it simply ignores amqpcsea responses to inquiring auth recs and terminates, dumping channel authentication records as last entries in export file. Due to a closing of dynamic response queue (AMQ.*), the first response message that cannot be put to it ends up in SDLQ, with reason "Queue deleted", after which command server gives up too. Funny thing, and that is the only difference between v9 and v8 for Windows, is that in the footer printed by v9 it is written:
* AuthRec count: 1
Am I missing some magic combination of command line arguments that does the trick? Or is it too much to expect such a compatibility? |

Ok, I'm a bit confused now.
It sounded like you were only ever talking to a qmgr at v7.5.x level...
And using either dmpmqcfg from the 7.5 aix machine, or using it from v8 and v9 clients.
the apar you sited does indeed sound exactly like your issue - but it only applies to qmgrs at v8.0 qmgrs at less than 8.0.0.2 ...
So, are you trying to talk to v8 or v9 qmgrs? _________________ chmod -R ugo-wx / |

I'm talking to a qmgr at v7.5.0.5 level, and that's why I was checking fixes for v7.5, expecting that fixes for later versions do not apply here, or if they do, it will be contained in some fix pack for v7.5. But it seems to me that they fixed only v8 command server, and v8 and v9 dmpmqcfg still cannot dump authrec's from v7.5 qmgr. |

I didn't find a fix for 7.5.x either. It also didn't sound like the bug wexistsed in anything before v8, but.
Either way, open a PMR and ask for an ifix fro that APAR for v7.5.... _________________ chmod -R ugo-wx / |

That seems like a right thing to do. Maybe it isn't exactly the same problem, but it is definitely very similar. |

The APAR IT03921 page is updated with information that includes v7.5 now. |
