Hi,
In order to integrate my Android mobile application to my IIB using the websphere MQ MQTT protocol do I need to use the M2M package or just by enabling the MQTT while installing WebSphere MQ is enough.
I googled and found out with M2M package is used normally just wanted to know if we can achieve just by enabling MQTT in MQ. Because I think M2M requires special license.
If enough is MQTT client for Java is enough or I have to use any other recommend client.
this is first time I am working with Mobile technology please spare my ignorance.
I know that there are MQTT nodes in IIB at v10. I don't know if you can use IIB as an MQTT server, or if the MQTT Input nodes can only work as MQTT Clients.
I'd suggest, if you are going to be processing messages from queues or pub/sub that you work with MessageSight rather than the MQ Telemetry feature of MQ.
It does require a separate installation, but MessageSight v2.0 comes ready to run in a Docker Container and can be much more lightweight and has HA capabilities that may not work as well with the MQ Telemetry feature. You can also just use RPM or etc. to install it on any box you want.
And it will perform better... _________________ chmod -R ugo-wx /
