Hi
I am trying to set up ssl between windows mq v 8.0.0.2 and zos mq version 8.0
The channels function properly without ssl but as soon as i try to enter ssl cipher on the channel, it fails with CSQX635E. I have tried all available cipher specs..( also tried non available cipher specs with sslv3!). SSLKEYR paramter of the qmgr contains keyring name, keyring belongs to chint. I also disabled chlauth and tried it but that also fails with the same dreaded CSQX635E. GSKSRVR stc is running on the system. All certificates are self signed.
Next, i am will activate chlev and try to debug.
Any ideas? or pointers?

Post the complete error from CHIN.
What error on the Windows end?

I would reiterate the request to supply the full text of the error message so we can see examples of the failing cipher spec which is an insert in the message.
Also please supply details of the way your certificate was created (it's signing algorithm is very important). And finally indicate whether SSLFIPS is in use at either end.
