Dear all,

JASMQ 01.10 has been posted early december in the software repository. It now hits more than 100 downloads.

I would be interested in knowing who has had the opportunity of playing with it or actually uses it in real projects. Please post me a short note if you have any (positive or negative ) comment on the product and its documentation.

Download JASMQ on http://www.mqseries.net/pafiledb203/pafiledb.php?fid=57

Thank you in advance,

Nicolas

Considering the absence of feedback on the usage of JASMQ, I intend to stop the development of the product.

If I read the software repository on mqseries.net, there were 217 downloads of JASMQ (on 22nd Apr 2003), to be added to 60 downloads on my own site. I would like to consider this number as a positive point. However, the absence of feedback leads me to the conclusion that the software is in fact not used after initial testing.

This was however a pleasant experience (at least for my own pleasure). I wish to thank the few persons who have simply sent a small mail of satisfaction regarding the free software community.

You heard him everyone... If you are using this product or have some opinion on it, please let Nicolas know. Otherwise nobody complain when there is nobody around to support it!
Nicolas - my own excuse is that my current job doesn't even use MQSeries, so I have very little free time to play around with it outside of it... I wish I had gotten a chance to work with JASMQ...

Brandon,

Thank you very much for your answer. Do not be sorry: I do not blame anybody for not using the product

I am simply asking feedback from people who DO use the product, or DID test the product and had any positive or negative impression on it.

At least it was an interesting experience of building a framework that I have seen implemented, or implemented myself, with little variation, in significant companies (most of the time in the financial sector). JASMQ was a simple/streamlined version of it. I would have liked, based on user's experience, to make it a generic framework usable in production environments.

I am not sorry myself. I have many other projects on my desk, and I wish everybody to have so many objectives in life.

Best Regards to all,
Nicolas
