Hi,

I want to know few things on global cache in IIB 9.0 as we are providing solutions to a customer

1. Is there any suggestion on the maximum size of the cache from IBM?

2. Is there any restriction of concurrent get and put calls on the same key, or any best practice or suggestions from IBM?

3. Does ESQL call to JAVA apis have any performance issue? Is it suggested to use ESQL if we have too many cache calls?

4. Any limitations of Global cache in IIB 9.0 which you may have faced in production

It sounds like you want information from IBM.

You won't get that here.

You'll get information.

But it won't be "from IBM".

1. I am not aware of IBM making any such suggestion.

2. I am not aware of IBM making any such suggestion.

3. Try it and see. I for one would be interested in your results.

4. You don't face limitations in Production until you've designed something and implemented it.

Then you owe it to your customer to get authoratative informaton from IBM.

What's going to happen if you provide this solution, experience problems and your defence to your customer is:

"well the solution was based on the experiences of some random strangers on the Internet who we can neither identify nor hold accountable so we thought that would be good enough"

I put it to you the conversation is going to go downhill from there quite sharply.
