To all,

We have MQ 7.5 running with Message Broker 8.0 on AIX 7.1.

I need to put a message to a queue every 5 minutes to kick off a message flow.

What is the preferred method or tool to automate something like this MQPUT?

I'd hava a flow that generates the message.
A timeout node would generate a message at the required interval.

You are absolutely correct. The TimeoutNotification Node clearly documents its ability to drive messages into a flow on an automated interval.
