Currently we have one broker supporting request/reply flows and flows which are more 'batch' oriented. We find that there needs to be more deploys because of changes to batch data. Because of this we were thinking of having a broker to support request/reply and a broker to support batch because sometimes during the deploy we have had problems that have rendered the broker inoperable which is not great for the request/reply flows which are supporting a retail environment. Note - these are on the same box.
I am suprised that you are having problems with deploys. This shouldn't cause any problem so long as you do full deploys on individual execution groups within a broker. What version/fix pack are you using?
We find that if you have to add/modify message sets then you can get away with performing a delta deploy on the broker to get the message set installed, and then do a full deploy on the broker.
