Hi - if we deploy a broker flow to an execution group with an input queue that does not exist, will it give any errors ?

We want to deploy a flow to meet timelines and keep it in cold state till clients come live. The MQ team will be creating queues a day before clients come live. Broker is on z/OS.

Thanks,
Deep Nair

Im pretty sure you could have tested this yourself in the time which it took to write that post. Experimentation is always the best way to learn.

I agree with McueMart.

However, to solve your query, a message is written to the Syslog warning that the queue used by xyz flow does not exist. The flow deploys and operates successfully otherwise.

Google is your friend. Use the InfoCentre. Did you attend the WM663 class?

Broker will report an error but the underlying error code will be an MQ one.

you can translate them into english using the 'mqrc' utility.

That is probably outside the scope of the Broker training course though.

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.

yes i did attend all broker trainings, also could not find this info in infocenter links.

will definitely experiment this - a solution that i can think of now is - we can deploy but keep the flows stopped - hope this will not result in MQ or broker reporting any errors.

Thanks,
Deep Nair
