I came across the question. I have not worked on IDocs and SAP part of integration. I tried to read through the online help document but still confused for right option for below question -
A number of application programs using MQSeries link for R/3, which is no longer supported need to be migrated to WMB and SAP adapter. The adapter will receive IDOCS via ALE interface. For compatibility reasons, the adapter will run in is to be run in passthrough mode.
which of following applies?
1. A Passthrough node is used to configure the message transformations required before the IDocs can be passed on to the applications via WebSphere MQ. --> (I am sure that this is not right)
2. The "raw" IDocs received via the adapter need to be parsed into a suitable message tree format using the IDoc parser, so they can be passed on to the applications via WebSphere MQ
3. IDOc received in passthrough mode need to be parsed using the MRM parser and a TDS format derived from exported SAP definitions before they can be passed on to the applications via Websphere MQ
4. Applications writted for MQSeries Link for R/3 have their own mechanisms for parsing IDocs. The adapter will present the IDocs as hexBinary strings in the message tree, which can be passed on to the applications via WebSphere MQ

Sounds like a test question to me. Are you studying for the WMB cert ?
The answer is none of the above and you should not be posting exam questions in the forum. _________________ http://leanpub.com/IIB_Tips_and_Tricks
