Hi paustin_ours

I have encountered with the same issue that you have explained in this thread.I tried many ways but no result.

According W3C xmlnsc="" is valid. but in esql i am not able to create it.

Can you please share your thoughts on how can we resolve it.

Thanks,

hi...it would be better if you could provide the code snippets you tried, infocenter do have example for empty prefixes,

https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSMKHH_10.0.0/com.ibm.etools.mft.doc/ac67194_.htm

Code:
DECLARE space1 NAMESPACE 'namespace1';
SET OutputRoot.XMLNSC.space1:root.(XMLNSC.NamespaceDecl)xmlns = space1;
SET OutputRoot.XMLNSC.space1:root.space1:example = 'ABCDE';

No you have not. This thread is 7 years old and if you're using the same version of the software discussed here, I've found your problem.

Please start a new thread, describing your problem, the software version you are using, the "many ways" you have tried (so we don't just suggest something that's already not worked) and (as my associate says) ideally the code snippets associated with these "many ways".

Better information, better advice.

Please quote the exact section of the W3C XML specification where it says that.
