1) Can I ask why you decided to use the HTTPRequest node asopposed to the SOAPRequest node?
2) What fixpacks you got loaded for 7 on AIX
3) Have you checked that the bip processes for the broker are working OK or netstat'd the port to ensure the port is running
4) Try running the sample for the SOAP flow to ensure that the Broker is first "setup" correctly and then concentrate on your version of the request, it will at least determine possibly where the fault is, if I have uinderstood you correctly
