the mqsisetdbparms command is as follows:
mqsisetdbparms <BROKER_NAME> -n aliases name -u uid -p passwords



Would you please let me know where WMB V61 store these passwords? Are these stored passwords in readable format?

We have 20 different aliases connected to 20 diff remote DB2 dabases.

They're stored in the broker registry in an obfuscated form.

I submitted a requirement last year to have a command that would allow us to view these passwords, which would be very helpful in debugging. If you need to be in the mqbrkrs group to run the command to set the password, I don't see the harm in a command that requires the same level of authority to view the passwords you just set.

Depending on how the passwords are actually obfuscated and stored this may not be possible, but worth a request.
