I got it working now. The client exit is loaded.

I set the <MQ Install>/exit dir to my system's PATH variable (I think that did the trick). I also pointed my Java App directly to <MQ Install>/Qmgrs/<QM Name>/@ipcc (I don't think that mattered though). I used to copy the tab file to another folder.
