hi all,

We are currently on MQ 5.3; and as you know the services from IBM for this version is no more available our client wants to know the feasability of upgrading MQ. I have already suggested we upgrade to V6.0; but they want to know whether we could move to MQ V7.0 directly.

Is is possible to move directly from MQ V5.3 to V7.0???

Well if the flying monkeys attack mid-upgrade it could get hairy....

You'll face much the same challenges upgrading to v7 that you would upgrading to v6. In both cases you'll find the section "Migrating from Version 5.3" in the documentation invaluable.
