Hi all,
ps -ef | grep -i <QMGR NAME> on unix machines will give u the processes that are running corresponding to a QM. Similarly is there any way we can identify which are all the process running corresponding to a QM on Windows?. tasklist cmd was not helpful. Reason is if 2 QMgrs are running, it shows the process twice without showing the QMgr name.

Task Manager (TM)...correlate the PID's shown in TM with those shown in MQExplorer for qmgr/queues etc.
If there's an easier way I'd love to hear it from anyone...

Try Process Explorer, a freeware download at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx
It shows all the MQ Queue Manager process as a neat tree view under amqmsrvn.exe, including listener, command server and channel initator. The view can be saved as a text file, but not via command line invokation so it seems.

Hi gbaddeley,
Thanks for ur response. I downloaded the freeware and used it, but still I cant see any process on the qmgr name in it, as u told I can see a tree view in which I can see not only amqmsrvn.exe, but also a lots of amq process. But there is no child node for the process amqmsrvn.exe in the tree view.

Right click on the column heading line, choose Select Columns..., check Command Line, click OK. Expand the size of the Command Line column by dragging on the divider bar in the column heading. The Queue Manager name is shown on the command line.

No problem. I didn't know it could display the Command Line until I experimented just now. It can display dozens of other columns too.

With the Microsoft Process Explorer, just mouse-over a process, and a balloon appears - with the owning qmgr name at the far right.
