Hi All,

I have an issue with Workflow after db2 upgrade from 8.2 to 9.1.4a.
I could not able to start the WF and thought binding could help.
Interestingly, binding option is missing after the db2 upgrade.
Can somebody please shed some light on how to fix it?

Thanks in advance!!

Mahesh:

Pretty strange. Are you saying that when you run fmczutil, and select your configuration that the option R does not appear?

Unless there is some issue with the user you are logged on as, I don't know why this would be the case.

I think you might need a PMR.

Hi Mac,
I do see r but don't see 'b' under it.

FMC33206I Selected Runtime Database Commands Menu:
Selected Runtime database : FMCDB
c ... Create
p ... Change password
x ... Exit Selected Runtime Database Commands Menu

I was able to get option 'b' if I remove the below lines from .profile
SAVE_LIBPATH=$LIBPATH
SAVE_LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

which are essentially to avoid 32 and 64 bit db2 lib clash.
now, Mq is failing to open saying XA resource problem and point to 32 and bit instance issue.
All looks like db2 library mess after the db2 upgrade.
Opened a pmr and they are looking in to it.

Thanks,
-Mahesh

Got fixed. steps we need perform is mentioned in the sp7 readme.
I overlooked it. Here are the steps to fix.

3.6.3 Using DB2 V9.1 with MQ Workflow on UNIX

After installing and migrating your databases to DB2 V9.1 on your UNIX machine,
the additional steps listed below must be performed before DB2 V9.1 can be used
with MQ Workflow.

Note: All MQ Workflow configurations must use the same DB2 copy.

To setup the MQ Workflow installation to use DB2 V9.1:

1) Log on as root

2) Install the MQ Workflow service pack as described in this document.

If DB2 V9.1 is installed in the default installation directory /opt/IBM/db2/V9.1,
steps 3 to 6 are not necessary.

3) Create two new directories

/<MQWF_install_dir>/lib/workflow
/<MQWF_install_dir>/lib/workflow64

4) Set the permissions using the command "chmod 755 /<MQWF_install_dir>/lib/workflow*"

5) Link the 32-bit DB2 libraries of the DB2 copy to be used into the directory
<MQWF_install_dir>/lib/workflow.

For example, if the DB2 copy is installed in /opt/IBM/db2/V9.1, and
MQ Workflow is installed in /opt/fmc, enter:

ln /opt/IBM/db2/V9.1/lib32/lib* /opt/fmc/lib/workflow

6) Link the 64-bit DB2 libraries of the DB2 copy to be used into the directory
<MQWF_install_dir>/lib/workflow64.

For example, if the DB2 copy is installed in /opt/IBM/db2/V9.1, and
MQ Workflow is installed in /opt/fmc, you would enter:

ln -s /opt/IBM/db2/V9.1/lib64/lib* /opt/fmc/lib/workflow64

Hope this helps.

Thanks all

-Mahesh
