I have a commercial web app and I want to 'automate' some of the input screens. Is there a way to use WID or some other tool to create a wrapper that basically fills in the form automatically and submits the page?

Thanks.

Guess you missed my follow up post in the other forum apologizing for posting in the wrong place.

It's also rude to critisize others without getting all the information first.

If you posted in the wrong forum... don't repost. We (admin) will move it to the right one when we get to it.

I'll remember that for the future. So, do either one of you have any USEFUL information to post or are you just here to critisize?

There are some java api's that were originally designed for unit testing web apps, but may well be useful for your purposes: check out cactus, apache http client, httpunit and selenium.

There is nothing in WID to do this directly.

BTW adopting a slightly more humble attitude when posting will get a better and more considered reply
