I am doing some reading on MQ API exits on WMQ V6. Please correct me if I am wring. Looks like we turn on the exit at the QMGR level. If I just want to invoke the exit when the API call is made to a certain queue, I have to put logics in my exit to check for queue name?

Yes. What do you want to do on that particular queue that would require use of the API exit?
