Hello!

I know it sounds like a pretty unimportant issue, but how can I change the language used by WID6.1 in the log files (eg. SystemOut.log std.)??

I've installed WID to WindowsXP, and as my regional setting attributes was NOT english during the install process, WID started to use that language for logging. Inspite of the fact that, at the beginning of the install, the launchpad installer asked me which language to use (so I selected english).

There are language options in the Derby related config files, but I guess that's not a WID global setting. Is there anywhere under the installed WID folders any config file where I can change the global language to english? Or can I change it through the admin console or in WID?

I've set the windows regional settings to english and start WID but nothing has happened. So, it seemed that the log language was not derived dinamically from the actual win reg.settings. Is that means that I should install WID again with english windows reg.settings options?

Thanks,
Liquid

Add the appropriate value to the startup command with "-nl <locale>".

Thanks, but still didn't work.
Now the WID starter shortcut looks like this:
<install_dir>\wid.exe -nl en_US -product com.ibm.wbit.feature.ide

The WID gui is (and was) english, only the integrated process server use my locale to log. Where can I change the server start arguments?
Somewhere in the <wid_install_dir>\pf\wps\bin bat files?

Thanks in advance,
Liquid

Ah!

It wasn't clear that that's what you meant.
