Hi all:
I am trying to get MQ 5.3.1 working with our MQI application. This application is installed on virtualized disks using SMF.
The MQ installation is on physical disks including all the application queues.
When we try and start our application we get several 5023 errors from SMF 'unsupported dialect 61' . This error occurs when an OSS application (in this case I believe MQ) tries to access files on virtual disks. This is an illegal operation as there is no support for virtual disks under OSS.
What I am trying to understand is what application files MQ would be trying to access?? All application queues that MQ is writing too are on physical volumes so it can't be the queues.
Anybody have any ideas?
Also MQ doesn't generate much in the way of errors. I did see the following errors in our MQ log, but there was no FDC report.
AMQ8823: EC detected an unexpected process termination.
EXPLANATION:
EC process $MEEB in Queue Manager MD1D detected the termination of a process it started, and this termination was unexpected. The name of the terminated process was $Z9951 (2,344), the completion code was 9 and the termination info was 6.
ACTION:
Examine the log and FDC files to determine a cause of the failure and correct if possible.
