Hi!
I would like to ask if it is possible to upgrade WebsphereMQ from 5.3 to 6.0 while running Websphere Message Broker version 5. Is it better to plan a migration of those to products together. Which FixPack I need to install for WMB v5 to run WMQ v6.0.

You should upgrade one product at a time! Start with WBIMB v.5 to WMB v6.0 and then WMQ 5.3 to 6.0.
Always apply the latest fix pack before starting the upgrade.

I'd upgrade MQ first.
I'd apply CSD12 of v5.3 of MQ first - as Herr Gramig says - and then upgrade to v6 of MQ.
Then I'd upgrade to v6 of WMB.
But really, they're completely independant. So it's only a personal preference to do MQ first.

I searched the IBM sit but i am not getting doc tht will tell me the steps to migrate WBIMB 5.3 to WBIMB 6.
I need to prepare a proper doc as the server is production server |
