I am not to familiar with the IBM mainframe but was wondering if anyone has had problems before with missing characters.
This is an IMS application that puts a messages to a MQ Queue. I then display the contents of the queue while it is still on the mainframe and the followings characters are not displayed:
^ (B0)
] (BB)
[ (BA)
Any help on this will be greatly apprecitated as always.

How are you viewing these? If you are viewing these on a 3270 emulator, such as PCOM, the graphic for these is not part of the standard EBCDIC character set. All you need to know is that the data bytes are there. Try looking at them in hexadecimal.
BTW, in EBCDIC, [ is (AD), and ] is (BD). I don't believe there is a graphic character for ^ in EBCDIC. That may be why they are not being displayed as visible characters. Graphic definitions of byte values are dependent on codeset. Both the codeset of the data, and the codeset of the emulation that you are using to view it!
What is the source of this data? _________________ IBM Certified MQSeries Specialist
