I have just done what I though was a routine MQSI 2.0.2 install on Windows NT 4.0. I then created a small message set and message flow and tried to deploy to the broker. However I get the following message:
"BIP1835E: The create runtime message dictionary operation has not completed successfully".
When I check the error file in ..log I see:
"RTD Extractor Trace File
========================
Could't open RTD file Ù8
Ð8
öæL
"
I have run Config Mgr and Broker service traces (which show nothing that looks like errors), deleted and rebuilt the message set, tried with the Postcard message set, but all to no avail.
Has anyone any knowledge of the RTD functions and how to get around this. I really don't want to re-install MQSI.
The only faint clue (red herring?) is that the other time this error was posted on the archive it came from someone at the same installation (before I started here) who therefore has a similarly configured PC. I suspect the problem may be related to other software on the machine. We both have Lotus Notes and there are possibly some other site-specific configuration characteristics.
Any suggestions will be grateflly accepted.
This has been resolved. The settings for TMP/TEMP were not fully resolvable in the environment. The parameter %SystemDrive% was being turned over in GetTempPath as a literal, rather than with it's value, probably indicating something gone amiss in the environment or environment variables.
