Hi,
I am new to Mainframe, I want to publish/subscribe messages to a Queue on Mainframe using WindowsMQ Client.

1. Creating a QManager/Queue on Mainframe is similar to Windows platform.
2. Do I need to create "Client Connections" on Mainframe QManager to communicate with windows MQ client.
3. Is there any additional configurations I need to do for Mainframe MQ.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Siva

No. It's completely different.

You need to install and enable the Client Attachement Facility. It's an additional cost item from IBM.

Yes. Lots.

You need to relearn everything about MQ to do MQ on the mainframe. It's completely different.

Except from a code point of view. If all you are talking about is what you need to do in your program, then you need to do nothing different - and someone else needs to do all the things that I mentioned above.

I have installed and enabled the "Client Attachement Facility", please let me know if anything else is required.

Please provide me some URL from where I can learn more about MQ on Mainframe
