WMQ TT\ Triggering
Moderator: [jefflowrey]
Before you do anything, read - WMQ TT \ Master (FAQ main).
This thread referres to WMQ triggering issues, such as:
- How triggering works in general.
- Application triggering considerations.
- How to trigger sender channels using the channel initiator.
- Choosing between FIRST/EVERY/DEPTH.
- Important triggering conditions and scenarios (no opening appl, retrigger on MQCLOSE etc)
- Nuances (triggering and commits)
- Other issues (client trigger monitor, more than one trigger mon etc)
- Triggering z/OS applications - CICS, IMS, BATCH, other.
- "Not a valid trigger message..."
The basic triggering mechanism is the same, without exception, in all WMQ platforms. In past WMQ z/OS versions, triggering channels was slightly different, but this has changed since 5.2 and is now the same as on any other platform.
Do not post here, or on any TT unless you're a veteran MQSeries.net poster, and an expert WMQ administrator.
Any post consisting of anything but links will be deleted by the moderator. These threads were made for your benefit, do not abuse them! |
