| Is there physical limit (besides the MaxChannels parameter) on the maximum number of channels a QMgr can have. If not, does IBM recommend a maximum? |

Hi,
I was reading some IBM papers regarding that topic, and IBM stated that on Windows NT, the limit was 800 channel pairs (1Q00). By the way consider that each channel is allocating a buffer of the specified message size for each channel.
On OS/390 it's limited on 1.7 GB, which means if you have 100MB on each channel, max is only 17, if messagesize is 4MB max is about 425
