OS/390 requires a Client Connection Facility in order for it to accept any sort of client connection. If your OS/390 machine doesn't have this already installed (and it's a chargable item), then you will have to install an MQServer and create channels to the OS/390 queue manager.
But even then, OS/390 does command administration DIFFERENTLY than distributed systems - it doesn't use PCF messages at all - so MQJExplorer may not work. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
MQJExplorer is not supported for OS/390 z/OS platform, according to Mr. Kolbans documentation.
If you want to use a GUI interface for z-series qmgr I would suggest downloading IBM's MO71 support pac. Also, you will need to verify you have CAF installed for the z/OS.
