We have a production server with ICS/Websphere MQ.
I have installed Websphere MQ server version and ICS on my local machine. Through ICS (connectors) I am trying to connect to the Queue Manager on the production box there by trying to access the input queues on the production box.

Is it possible to connect to the Queue Manager on production box from local ICS server? I appreciate, if anybody could let me know..

Thanks!

If you are asking if MQ and ICS can be on different box then NO

If it is something else you are asking I didn't understand your question

Thanks grandmaster,
OK, let me explain clearly what I am trying here.

We have a AS/400(DB2) system and there is Websphere MQ on AS/400 box. There are some triggers on the AS/400 box which will
put the DB2 records into Message Queues on the ICS production box.

Our aim is to get the normalized data into the destination SQL Server tables from AS/400. I am doing testing with a particular table data in AS/400 and I created BO's, Maps, Collabs. etc., related to this AS/400 table in local ICS instance and doing the data transformation through local ICS. Now, I am trying to access the QMgr on the production box so that my local ICS can pick up the messages related to this BO and Maps and get the data transformation done to the destination Sql Server table.

For getting this done, I have done the following:

In the local ICS config. wizard(Interchangesystem.cfg),
on Websphere MQ tab, I have to specify local host name, local Q Mgr. name and port and channel. Right? If it is correct, then I have already put this config. on my local ICS(dev. box) Now, I have already created a MQ adapter/connector and in the connector specific properties, I specified the name of the Q Mgr. on the prod.box, IN_PROGRESS Q on the prod. box, Input Q on the prod. box. etc.,
All the objects are running in the CSM of local ICS. But, when I start the connector agents (JDBC, MQ), I could not get any messages in the local queues. Moreover, the messages on the prod. input queue are thrown into error queue.

I think, I am missing something here. I appreciate, if you could throw some light what is wrong??
Thanks
