hi guys
i have installed mqsi on windows 2000.when i want to set up database tables in db2 for config manager.when i open the control centre of db2 to create databases iam gettting the following error
[IBM][JDBC Driver] CLI0616E Error opening socket. SQLSTATE=08S01
can anybody tell me how to fix this

Please correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't appear to be anything to with mqsi at all.
This looks like a DB2 issue.
Have you tried looking up the error and SQLSTATE code you got in the DB2 docs ?
Alternatively maybe you could find a DB2 forum to post this DB2 related problem.

First make sure an ODBC connection has been defined for Config Mgr database. Then use some DB2 command/client to make sure the connection is working. _________________ Kiran

You don't need an ODBC connection for the configuration repository database, only for the message repository database.
Is the DB2 database local or remote? |

make sure the
<DB2 HOME>\SQLLIB\java\db2jave.zip is in classpath. |
