Is there a DLQ handler for NT out there? There is one in the software repository, but it seems it is for unix.

Thanks

The DLQ handler "runmqdlq" comes with the NT installation. Chapter 12 of the System Administration manual has all the details.

Keep in mind though, that usually the action we want to associate with a dead letter message may be based on business logic that is peculiar to the MQSeries system you are running. The standard dead letter handler program has none of this. This is why people resort to coding their own dead letter handlers, because many times there are a complex set of rules (based on business logic, etc.) that govern what to do with a message that ends up on the dead queue.

We got the amqsdlq thing to work.... but instead of setting up an event monitor, we have just 'filled' the DLQ. That way if there is a problem in our environment the channel will just drop.

Crude but effective
