All:

For those people who will be running MQ Visual Edit natively on a Unix (Solaris) box and also use Exceed to display their X11 session, there is a bug in Exceed that you need to be aware of.

Here is what the web page says:

"Unexpected Signal: 11" error when launching a Java application

PROBLEM:
When running a Java application the user gets the following error:

Unexpected Signal: 11 occurred at PC=0xea7d4d1c
Function name=XXXXXXXXX
Library=XXXXXXXX

RESOLUTION:

While using Exceed if the user is experiencing crashes when they are trying to
launch or run their Java applications then try setting the environment variable
NO_J2D_DGA on the Unix Host as follows:

set (env) NO_J2D_DGA

According to Hummingbird, Exceed does not support DGA (Solaris Direct Graphics Access) and setting this environment variable will prevent Java apps from using DGA to render.
