Telling this story, a news reporter was astounded he made it. "Oh it was easy", said the pilot, "it took ages for anything to happen even though it was clear something was going on & when it did, it was visually attractive, technically accurate but utterly unhelpful. So I knew it was the Microsoft building". |
This has been around for decades and the original(?) building was IBM's
Although the "visually attractive" part was not included then..... GUIs having not been invented. |

Maybe someone applied maintenance to the story...

There is no such STATUS of Qmgr !! |
While technically true, your answer did not offer any clarity, any useful information.
This is my fundamental issue with TRUE/FALSE questions. FALSE answers shed no new light on the subject matter. They are a missed opportunity. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

I did show the what could be the STATUS of a Qmgr (for mqv7), just after that post..But then story telling session was going on, sadly.
A chance and space could've given to the poster praveenkky to ask more questions/doubts after his investigation on the issue !
Even an old post (which I've mentioned) is like an evidence where unfortunately you were seeking the clarity., I took the reference of that old post in yesterday's post as an another learning step.
Thanks. _________________ *Life will beat you down, you need to decide to fight back or leave it. |

One of the ongoing complaints from our collective, less-techincal, user community is that technical people tend to answer questions with yes/no kind of answers.
Even with the best of intentions, users find this understandably abrupt, rude, annoying and demeaning. Techies have a well-earned reputation for this behavior.
I'm trying to suggest that if someone asks for a yes/no kind of answer, you may choose to answer with a yes or no. Or you can choose to offer some background enlightenment - on your first reply - especially when the OP demonstrated little/no knowledge of mq.
I believe that expecting the OP to ask for your help once again, after being told that he/she is wrong, is irrational on your part. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
