As a last resort before bouncing the qmgr you can try to stop the channel in mode(terminate). Be aware however that this may have additional consequences (read up in the manual (mqsc + intercommunications)).

This should really stop the channel. After this you should try:
  • telnet host port to see if the os resolves correctly. (ctrl+] then quit or bye should get you out of the telnet session if it was successful)
  • ping channel in mqsc to see if the channel is pingable from MQ
  • start channel in mqsc


If this is not sufficient to restore your channel, open a PMR with IBM.
Be also aware that being on the latest release will facilitate the resolution of your PMR...
