Really this should be a new thread as it's not strictly connected to the original post. But...

Do you really mean inactive? That's not a problem, that's a channel that hasn't had some traffic in a while. A status of stopped would bother me more. If you've got channel triggering set up (properly) an inactive channel should automatically restart.

If you do mean stopped or ended, how have you arrived at the conclusion it's a sequence number problem? Are there log entries indicating this? How and where are you resetting the sequence number?

Sequence number mismatch should show the sender channel either in RETRY mode or in STOPPED mode (after expiration of retry interval and count).

INACTIVE has nothing to do with the number mismatch (at least on the sender side). You need to pay more attention to the sender side of your channel. Make as well sure that you do not have multiple senders using the same channel name, i.e. one and the same receiver channel for multiple senders...
