I coded 2 channels :
+++
display channel(rosa*)
1 : display channel(rosa*)
AMQ8414: Detalles de Display Channel.
CHANNEL(ROSA.SVRCONN) CHLTYPE(SVRCONN)
AMQ8414: Detalles de Display Channel.
CHANNEL(ROSA.SVRCONN) CHLTYPE(CLNTCONN)
+++
Set up the Envir (windows) :
+++
MQSERVER=ROSA.SVRCONN/TCP/localhost(1416)
+++
Even CLNTCONN has a "strange" (not mine) IP :
+++
5 : display channel(ROSA.SVRCONN) CHLTYPE(CLNTCONN) all
AMQ8414: Detalles de Display Channel.
CHANNEL(ROSA.SVRCONN) CHLTYPE(CLNTCONN)
ALTDATE(2007-02-15) ALTTIME(17.13.22)
COMPHDR(NONE) COMPMSG(NONE)
CONNAME(1.2.3.4(1419) DESCR( )
HBINT(300) KAINT(AUTO)
LOCLADDR( ) MAXMSGL(4194304)
MODENAME( ) PASSWORD( )
QMNAME(FEM49P01) RCVDATA( )
RCVEXIT( ) SCYDATA( )
SCYEXIT( ) SENDDATA( )
SENDEXIT( ) SSLCIPH( )
SSLPEER( ) TPNAME( )
TRPTYPE(TCP) USERID( )
end
+++
... AMQSPUTC still works !
Have to talk to "guru" I guess ! |

I would expect it to work as you set the environment variable MQSERVER, however unless you set the AMQCHLTAB and AMQCHLLIB variables and export the channel table file to the client-based machine, CLNTCONN will not be used.
Again I suggest you read the relevant manual. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

mr exerk - I have re-read the MQ Client manual. Good idea.
As far as I can see, there are 3 ways to provide the connection info to the application at the MQ client : a) explicit at MQCONNX, b) use MQSERVER envir, c) use the client channel definition table (and MQCHLLIB&MQCHLTAB).
I mean, and correct me if I am wrong, if I am using MQSERVER then I do not need to use MQCHLTAB.
Thanks. |
