C Compilers for the Mainframe are, from what I understand, EXPENSIVE.

I developed some mq samples on windows and took the class files to AIX, HP-UX, Linux, iSeries (ran under QShell), z/OS (under USS) and they worked just fine. I do not have any problem there.
That should cover your mid range and MF.
I think in our environment, they develop java code on Windows and deploy onto WebSphere running on z/OS. It works that way too. |
