Whose .profile? Yours? Or the user that is running the trigger monitor?

Did you do something to cause the .profile to get re-read after you modified it? (for background users, this can be a bit tricky.)

When a setuid program, like runmqtrm, is executed, LIBPATH is automatically cleared, so only the default directories /lib and /usr/lib are searched.
When jesus_dino set LIBPATH again in the triggered script this caused it to work.
