We have a WS-Proxy going via a firewall to a back end web service application. The remote URL is hss.systemsmanagement.intranet.local and is resolved via a DNS static host entry to an address of 10.165.208.23. Port 443 is used going out, SSL is enabled and 443 is open on the firewall. Testers are reporting intermittent connectivity errors that coincide with the extract from the error log above. There are no errors to suggest a SSL problem.
An IIS web server is being targetted. The description of the problem suggests that it is seen on the first connection attempt. After a successful connection has been established, all requests appear to work.
