I'm testing my first linux MQ on Intel. I've got lots of experience with MQ on HP, Solaris and AIX and am migrating my processes and scripts over to the new (to us) platform.
One think I've found is that my script that kills MQ in an emergency got confused. I looked manually and found:
I've only got one queue manager. I can shut it down normally but for some reason I have 8 processes that the Admin Guide calls the processor controller.
I've only seen multiple of these processes when I have multiple queue managers running. Here I've only got one defined and running.
Any ideas? I'm running 5.3 csd08.

Ah, I see that now.
What I'm trying to do is update a script that will kill the MQ tasks in order when we have a hung situation. In that case we want to kill all the processes for the queue manager in the order that's specified in the MQ Admin guide Appendix D.
Another question is, is there another way to do this? amqiclen came out that I can use instead of my script that did an ipcs and ipcrm. Is there anything to kill MQ from IBM now? In 5.3 or v6?
