We are sending MQMD+RFH2+IIH+data in a request msg from a message broker on AIX to an IMS transaction on mainframe via OTMA bridge. The IMS transaction would process the data and send a reply back with the MQMD+RFH2+IIH headers and processed data.

My question is : do the RFH2 and IIH headers go all the way upto the IMS transaction along with the Request message data ? Or do they stop at the OTMA bridge or some other point and later get attached to the reply ?

The headers are coming back in the Reply message so I want to know upto what point they go.

Can someone pls clarify ?

As far as I know IMS itself does not know abouth the mq-headers.
The Bridge will rip them off when sending the message to the "IMS internal Q".
