MQSeries Integrator (MQSI) provides a powerful solution to the challenge of formatting and reformatting data. In its simplest form, MQSI takes a description of a message format (layout) and, when presented with messages in this format, can break apart that message into its constituent fields. Many transformations involve input and/or output messages in an XML format. In many cases, a definition of the fields in the XML message is available in a Document Type Definition (DTD) file. MQSI provides a GUI interface that allows compute node transformations to be built using drag and drop operations. However, there is no easy way to enter the DTD file into the metadata repository, so this facility cannot be used. The command line utility provided with this SupportPac fulfills this need. By allowing the information in the DTD to be imported into the MRM repository database, drag and drop operations can now be used with XML messages.
The following IBM MQSeries Family SupportPacs have been updated:
This SupportPac provides an aggregator function within an MQSeries Integrator V2.0.1 environment. The following changes have been made in this release:
- Added recovery functions
- Improved format of log messages
- Fixed deployment failure caused by error in Unicode conversion routines
- Set PutDate and PutTime values in timer messages
- Documented the restriction that all nodes of an aggregate must exist within the same Message Flow
- Added logic to police this restriction
- Include separator string in timed out reply messages
- Check that all messages belonging to the same aggregate have the same MsgId value
MACI: MQSeries client for Linux - V5.2
MACL: MQSeries client for AIX - V5.2
MACO: MQSeries client for Sun Solaris - V5.2
These clients have been updated to incorporate CSD #1.
MP6E: MQSeries for HP-UX V5.2 - Performance highlights
This SupportPac provides a report that highlights the potential performance benefits introduced in MQSeries for HP-UX V5.2 and explains the circumstances in which they can be exploited. A discussion and measurement of the memory footprint for client channels has been added in this release.
