From the 'Configuration manager' window under Candle CMW, it is possible to start a backup procedure. Starting this results in an action from the started task (running on OS/390), writing a backup file to the specified dataset.
I hope one of you can tell me what exactly happens, wat utillity is started, or whatever. My goal is to have a daily batchjob running on the mainframe and have this job call this procedure, so I have a automated daily backup of my congiguration database.
Please clear some things up for me..... |

Hi Remco.
I think an IDCAMS repro of all files having a low level qualifier starting with RKCF would do the job. That was what Candle provided in V300 of MQ Configuration, before the option to run this from the CMW was made available.
Check out document MQ51-5835 which is the V300 version og the Installation Guide for MQ300 and MC300.
