I'm trying to integrate JText Adapter with ICS and facing pblms

this is what I did

* configured a .cfg file, tested in standalone mode with wmqi , it works fine.
* now, I have changed the broker type to ics and delivery transport to IDL
* In the system manager I hav created a new connector pointing to the same cfg file..deployed .and I see the controller up and running
* now, when I start the agent....its throwing an error...

but in the system manager...I see the controller up and running...

any suggestions.....where to start the debugging, touch points.

* I have created the channel(svr. conn ch) which is up and running
* currently I have no maps designed and loaded into connector, does it matter...

I using WMQ 5.3.0.5, WICS 4.2.2.3 and WBIA 2.4, JText 5.5 in win XP prof.

Connectors can deliver events over MQ, but everything else is CORBA/IDL. The connector will find the connector controller if it is on the same subnet, it will find it using multicast i believe.

If the connector and ICS server are on different subnets, then you need to set a parameter on the connector to tell it how to find the controller, the details escape me at the moment, look in the documentation.

but I'm running my connector and ICS server on the same machine....(my local envi).

the only thing I did...is I have installed Adapters and ICS in two different dir. so as run both stand alone and as well as with ICS.

I'm wondering is there any property to set in .cfg file to talk with the connector controller...

I mean basically, I'm confused when u start a connector agent from the .bat file...how does it know which connector controller to communicate if there are more than one controller in the system manager...

any suggestions.

thanks 'n advance

both connector agent and connector controller...uses the same .cfg file, by this the agent wud know which controller to contact..... I'm still learing....

hmmm!.. but any suggestions or thoughts..for the error though I'm getting even I'm running both connector and ICS server on the same machine.

thanks..in advance...
