I'm trying to export just a couple of message flows to a text file for subsequent importing into another config mgr. I've created a new workspace and just added these 2 new message flows but when I export it exports everything including all message flows which are associated with existing execution groups.
I'm aware that you can selectively import just msg flows on the import but I don't want to pull in the other 57 msg flows that are saved away in the xml file.
How can I just export the 2 msg flows I'm interested in?
Hello,
I think you can solve your 'problem' by using a veru simple support pack called IC01 you can download from http://www.ibm.com/software/ts/mqseries/txppacs/txpm4.html#mqsi.
In some few words, one of the utilies, called "mqsifiltermsgflows" takes an export file (exported from the MQSeries Integrator Version 2 Control Center), and creates a 'filtered' export file containing a single message flow.
I encourage you to have a look on the IC04 support pack too, which gives good advices about naming conventions and environnement management.
If you are using MQSI V2.0.2 you can export a single message flow.
In the Message Flows view right click on the message flow you wish to export. The export option will appear in the menu. To export the entire workspace use the file menu option as before.
