Hi! I have some questions for which I could not find correct information.
1. what comes with mqseries v2.1 for os/390 package.
( for e.g, CICS TRANSACTION Server, cics bridge)
2. Is there a difference between MQ-CICS Adapter and MQ-CICS Bridge. If yes, what is the difference.
3. Do we need a Transaction Server to use MQ-CICS Bridge.
We are using MQSeries v2.1 for os/390 and CICS 4.1 and trying to set up communication between mq and dpl programs.

1) I believe the CICS bridge was included with MQ v210, the CICS adapter certainly was.
2) The adapter allows you to code MQ calls (MQGET etc) in CICS applications, the bridge allows you supply data to CICS applications that are not MQ aware.
3) CICS TS 1.2 or above is needed to use the 3270 bridge, the DPL bridge will run on CICS 4.1

Note that both MQ 2.1 and CICS 4.1 are no longer supported releases so you should try to upgrade.
