Hello friends,

I have a question on cluster repositories

I have 2 full repos in a cluster and each partial repo qmgr has manual CLUSTER SENDER CHLS to only one of the 2 full repos. And both full repos have clussdr & clusrcvr manual chls to each other.

PARTIAL1 --> CLUSSDR/CLUSRCVR --> FULLREPO1
PARTIAL2 --> CLUSSDR/CLUSRCVR--> FULLREPO2
PARTIAL3 --> CLUSSDR/CLUSRCVR--> FULLREPO2

question is, if FULLREPO1 is down, and I create a new queue object on PARTIAL1, will PARTIAL2 & PARTIAL3 learn about this new queue object?

Appreciate your time. Thanks

Yes. This is how MQ clusters work.

Both FRs are aware of the PRs; and the remaining FR will continue to do FR thisngs, like sharing new/altered objects. When the ailing FR is restored, it will re-sync with the up-to-date FR.

Thanks, Bruce.

Is this because the partials communicate with both the FULL REPOS even though manual CLUSSDR definitons are created to only one FULL REPO?

And there's no need to create manual CLUSSDR channel to both FULL REPOS?

Correct. No need for you to do anything. MQ clusters are truly a wonder.

Moved to clustering forum.
