Hello
I have an old binary 'mqb' which I think historically was called support pack MC6D. It is a unix consiole curses based MQ message browser which is useful for a message preview in hex format or just viewing message headers.
Unfortunately, I have a binary for AIX only: executable (RISC System/6000) or object module.
Can someone share binaryfor x86 Linux?

I am afraid support pack is not available anymore and for sure not supported.

thanks in advance.

Code:
$ mqb -v
mqb version 1.0 for AIX built for WebSphere MQ 5.3.
@(#) mqb.c, supportpacks, MC6D 1.1 02/12/05 12:10:12

$ mqb -h
USAGE       : mqb [ -m <qmgr> [ -q <queue> [ -n <msg>] ] ] [options]

DESCRIPTION : Interactive WebSphere MQ browser.

OPTIONS:

-h|-?       : This help message.
-l <limit>  : Limit maximum size of a cached message to <limit>, which is one
              of the following printf()-style formats,

              %db          (bytes     [integer number])
              %fKb | %fK   (kilobytes [floating-point number])
              %fMb | %fM   (megabytes [floating-point number])

              For example, "-l 0b", or "-l 53.2Kb", or "-l 2.5Mb".
-m <qmgr>   : Name of Queue Manager to connect to.
-n <msg>    : Number of particular message to view on startup.
-q <queue>  : Name of Queue connect to.
-t <num>    : Total number of messages to view for a queue.
-v          : Display version information.

If you can't find an up-to-date version of the supportPac, you might find the Q program useful as a replacement.

Here's some example output of the Q Program formatting the MQMD (at high detail) of a message and showing the hex version of the message. It can also format out all built-in MQ headers, and format out PCF messages as well as a few other industry standard message formats, CSV, FIX, JSON, XML, and EDIFACT.

Code:
q -m MQG1 -i Q1 -dhd3

Code:
----- MQMD after MQGET -----
[  324 bytes] Message Descriptor (MQMD)
StrucId      :'MD  '
Version      :1
Report       :00000000
Message Type :8 (Datagram)

Feedback     :0 (None)
MQEncoding   :0x'222' (Reversed)

If you prefer a GUI tool to view/edit messages then have a look at MQ Visual Edit. It is a desktop application that is supported natively on:

- Linux x86 64-bit,
- macOS (Mac OS X),
- Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11 (Intel)
- Windows 10/11 (ARM)
- Raspberry Pi (ARM)
