I am new to MQSeries area and read the following content from IBM redbook:

"Note that this is not a complete fail-over mechanism. If the workflow subsystem
on one server is down, but the MQSeries connection is still active, requests are
routed to that server. MQSeries clustering is not aware of the fact that the
receiving application, that is MQSeries Workflow, is not processing messages."

It seems IBM raise the issue, but didn't provide answer to it, which really confuses me. Could anyone tell me how to deal with those messages which won't be processed by the MQ Workflow? Thanks in advncae!

I don't think it's that they WONT be processed ever, it's that they wont be processed until the Workflow system is restarted.

JMAC,

Thanks for your reply, I knew it will be proccessed after Workflow restart.
I'd like to know if there's anything I can do to avoid messages waited in a queue for such a long time? Do I need any add-on monitor? or can I configure MQ to self-route those waited messages? Thanks!
