Has anyone seen issues with MQ PUTs getting delayed when trying to PUT messages to a split queue using PUB SUB and also asking for a COA
The PUB SUB is splitting the messages to 3 Qs (one local, 2 remote Qs on 2 different customer envs)
We have MQ puts for many other Queues where the same application is using the same SVRCONN to PUT the messages but its not seeing the delays and they don't have MQ PUB SUB/ application asking for COAs.
Also its been noticed that this delay happens when there has been a long period of in-activity.
So any pointers which could be the issue..PUB SUB or asking for COA/something else which could cause the delay in PUTs...? |

If the request/reply/COA message flow across Sender/Receiver channels to the different customers, it's possible that the channel(s) have disconnected due to inactivity. Investigate channel attributes DisconnectInterval and BatchSize, as these can affect latency. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

As has already been stated, the delay may be as a result of the return route channels having to start up - can you confirm whether they are trigger started?
Also, what sort of delay are you seeing? A few seconds/minutes/hours/days?
Do the COAs turn up eventually or never?
Cheers,

Do the COA’s end up in a DLQ somewhere? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

I've just noticed that I have misread your original question. I read it as the COAs were getting delayed, but I have just re-read it and notice that you are actually saying the MQPUTs are delayed.
Please could you clarify - are you saying that the MQPUT call takes a long time to return? Is it an MQPUT or an MQPUT1? How long a delay are you talking about?
Cheers,
